David B. Gutierrez, 48 passed away on Thursday November 11, 2010 in Granada Hills.
David was born June 23, 1962 in Thousand Oaks, California and was a resident of Ventura County for 35 years. David was employed at Vons of Granada Hills for 30 years. In High school he enjoyed playing Football for Thousand Oaks High School Football team.
David is survived by his father Raul Gutierrez, Mother Ellie Pope, Brother Steven Gutierrez and Sister Susan Falwell (Derik).
A service will be held Tuesday November 23, 2010, 11 a.m. at the Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 101 East Wilbur Road, Thousand Oaks with Bill Niklas officiating.

I sadly just learned of Dave's passing. I knew Dave from elementary school through high school. Dave was my best friend when I started sophomore football at TOHS and showed me the ropes and how to be a better player. He was one of the kindest, compassionate and honest people I've ever known. I am sorry that with time we drifted apart. The world was truly a better place with Dave in it, I miss you my friend.

I worked with Dave in Westlake after the T Mart/Safeway merger. Dave was a wonderful person and I feel lucky to have known him

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I played football alongside David in high school and David was a 'gamer' who did his best and never complained.
I will always remember David as a great teammate and a great person.

Dear Gutierrez Family,
I am so sad to learn of David's passing. He and I were good friends during our highschool years and went out a few times when I went away to college in Irvine. He was also a student of my dad's at TOHS. What a kind and gentle soul, who will missed.

This is such a sad day. I remember spending the night with Mike and all of us goofing around in the yard making silly bikes out of junk. David is remembered. I so sorry for this loss.
