Elaine Noll was born in Weissport, Pa., on May 11, 1930. She went to be with the Lord at on Nov. 7, 2010.
Elaine was an honor student in Lehighton Pennsylvania High School and also graduated from Allentown Business College in 1950. Elaine and her husband, Bob, moved to California in 1954 and to Ventura in 1956. She worked for Ventura County Elections Division for 12 years.
Elaine was not only loved by her family but by many friends and neighbors who attended her Bible studies. She had a deep seated love and appreciation for the Bible and spent many hours learning in personal Bible study. She studied with many gifted teachers and listened daily to the Dr. J. Vernon McGee BACK TO THE BIBLE radio program. Dr. Adrian Rodgers was her Sunday favorite when she was unable to attend Church regularly.
Elaine started her Bible studies in the home of Frances Kingsley before Bible Study Fellowship came to Ventura. She became a leader for BSF and continued her home Bible studies in the home of Norma Zuber during the summers. She attended Community Bible Study in Camarillo for eight years after that.
Elaine had a unique way of sharing the things she learned with those attending her Bible studies (which she wrote herself). She asked questions she wanted answered and then studied as a group to find the answers. One of her most poignant questions was, If you were accused of being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you? Once while working in the Elections Division, she realized that money was being taken from her desk drawer so Elaine put a note in the drawer saying simply, U.R. a thief John 3:16.
Elaine was an excellent knitter and needle pointer. She won numerous awards at the County Fairs for her work. Elaine was a great mother, cook and baker.
Elaine leaves behind her husband, Bob; her son, Jeff and his wife Susan, and her granddaughter, Kimberly; her daughter, Robin; and her brother, Donald Schoenberger of New York. The family would like to thank the the people at the Venturan Convalescent Center for all the loving care for the last 22 months. A special thanks to Ofelia Cano Opie and Dr. Bruce Woodling.
Elaine's memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 7 at Grace Lutheran Church, 6190 Telephone Road, Ventura.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Charles Carroll Funeral Home, Ventura, 642-8134. Please visit our website at www.dignity.com to leave loving tributes.

Our times are in God's hands. I was saddened that Elaine struggled so long during her last months on Earth. I'm sure it was hard on Bob and her children and I pray as you comfort one another you will remember her positive faith and desire for you to know what God's Word says. She taught it well! She lived it well. May you find comfort in knowing she was ready to meet our Lord. We will all miss her.

Elaine was a very special lady who loved the Lord and His Word. In the early years of Bible Study Fellowship, we sat together on a bus on the way to a BSF conference. During that trip I came to know the beauty of her heart for her Lord as she encouraged me to follow Him. I am very sorry for your loss.

I was working on the Buck Larash family tree when I came across Elaine's death. I was married to Harold Buck, Paul and Naomi's son,
Harold passed away back in the late 60''s. I just wanted to convey my deepest sympathy to the family. What I remember of Elaine was that she was a beautiful woman inside and out! My email address is [email protected]. Please send me information for the family tree. Birthdates, weddings, grandchildren and I will gladly send you a copy either through email or reg mail. Thanks!
