Mary Elizabeth (Benjamin) Lyons, 87, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010 in St. John's Medical Center, Oxnard.
She lived in Ventura. Mary was born in Loogootee, Ind., Dec. 14, 1922 to Maurice and Gwen (Willis) Benjamin. She graduated from St. John's High School valedictorian in 1940. She was a registered nurse and homemaker. Mary married Dr. James Lyons on July 2, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1991.
Mary is survived by one daughter, Maribeth Sisko, Hanworth, U.K., and one son, Patrick (Jeanine) Lyons, Ramona, Calif.; four brothers: Joseph (Laddie) (Ava) Benjamin, Coleman, Fla., Donald (Fran) Benjamin, Sachse, Texas, Gene (Jayne) Benjamin, Bedford, Ind., and Jerry Benjamin, Bedford, Ind. She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Jack, Willis and Eddie Benjamin; and one son-in-law, Tony Tucker.
