Henry Meador Obituary
Henry "Hank" Meador, Jr., June 21, 1932 to Oct. 17, 2010, passed away peacefully with his family beside him on Sunday, Oct. 17, 2010.
Dad was born in Norfolk, Va., and moved to Ventura in 1964. He retired from his job as a financial planner with NSWSES at Port Hueneme Naval base in 1987 and moved to Bakersfield. Our dad enjoyed life to the utmost with dancing, bowling and playing tennis with his friends.
He leaves behind to miss him his former wife, Anne; two daughters, Sue Torres of Ventura, Debbie (Larry) Williams of Bakersfield; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Dad was preceded in death by his son, Steve, in March 2000.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Hillcrest Mortuary in Bakersfield.

Mr Meador....my special mentor. We never did get around to having that "talk". You always made me feel like just another of your kids, and I love you for that. I can close my eyes and see your smile....both sweet and devilish. And always present when you were thinking how to get one over on me.Rest peacefully with the Angels dear Man. You will be missed.

Dad, you were my biggest supporter. I will cherish our many happy times together and really miss our daily phone calls. Thank you for being such a wonderful man, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa.
