Adam.. I don't even know where to begin. You have been on my mind every day since I heard about your accident. We were so very close at one time in our lives, and you meant the world to me. I think my fondest memory of you would be that smile that you would give me every single day that I walked into English class. I knew exactly what you were thinking with that smile.. always brightened my day. If you wouldn't have gone into the Air Force, life would have turned out a lot different for the both of us. But everything happens for a reason doesn't it? I will always remember your kindness, how genuine you were, and all the talks and laughs we had in your white Camaro. I saw you and your family at Wal-mart a couple years back, and you were just beaming with pride. I am so glad that you were happy. You deserved it so much. My thoughts and prayers have been focused fully on your parents, whom I had the privilege of meeting several times. My heart aches for your lovely wife and your beautiful daughters. I can't fight back the tears as I write this.. until we meet again in heaven my friend.. I will miss you, and I will truly never forget you.

With broken hearts we send our son to the arms of Jesus. Every day with Adam was an adventure. All 27 years were filled with the memories of an active, curious boy maturing into a loving, responsible husband and father. My dearest Krista you are the best thing that happened to Adam. He was a loving husband and caring, responsible father to Abigale. He was so excited for the birth of his new daughter Casey Kay. He leaves a legacy that will live in our hearts forever. Adam, we love you to the moon and back.

Having the pleaser of knowing Adam for 16 years it feels wrong to call him my brother-in-law, he has and always will be my brother! I am so proud of the man, husband, and father that you became. There will always be a huge part in Shannon and my heart’s that will never be filled. There are no words that describe the way we feel without you! Your Nephew will always be reminded of what a great Uncle he had and how much you love him! Your sister is in good hands, so please don’t worry about her. Until the time comes that you and I can make fun of Shannon together - “torpedo’s away”. We miss you so much…..
Your forever loving Brother and Sister

Although I didn't know Adam that well in person, I knew of him quite well as I spent 5 years working with Valorie at Agoura High School. Valorie always was very proud of him for all his accomplishments in life, and accepted his downfalls knowing he would always get up and do the right thing. We shared many stories about our children as they were finding their way, and as they achieved their goals we cheered each other on. I am sorry to know that Adams journey has ended here on earth, but his free sprit is soaring up above us and will forever be present in our hearts. He is the reason Valorie has been so successful in her chosen career of guiding children through their young lives and cheering them on as they achieve their own goals.I wish the Potter family peace and love through this most difficult time.

Adam Potter: A young man with a heart of gold. The Schad family has had the pleasure more than once to have Adam grace our home with his winning ways and oh so polite manners. Although it has been 9 years since last he was in our home, still, we remember Adam with the best of memories. He and my daughter went to high school together and without question, my fondest memory of Adam is him always coming to the my car to say hello and wish me a good day as I was waiting for my daughter to get out of school. What a joy he was! Thank you Adam for sharing a part of your life with the Schad family..especially my daughter Serena..well, you know what I mean.....To the Potter family, may God be with you as you go through this trying time in your life. I am always just a letter away...And to you Valorie.....a mother's heart is a special thing. My love and prayers will be with you all the more....Sincerely, Julie A. Schad & family.
