Bernice Honey Hiatt, age 94, went home to the Lord at 2:30 a.m., Sept. 26, 2010.
She was born in Fremont, Neb., on March 16, 1916. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Hiatt, and sons, Wesley L. Hiatt and Richard D. Hiatt. Bernice lived in the Ojai Valley since 1965 and most recently was self-employed as an income tax consultant and prepared income tax returns.
She leaves behind three grandchildren, Dominique D. (Lambiotte) Hodgin (Robert Hodgin) of Castle Rock, Colo., Robin P. (Hiatt) Lambiotte of Ventura, and Rene L.R. Hiatt of Iowa; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsey Hodgin, Alyssa Hodgin, and Travis Hodgin of Castle Rock, Colo.
A private memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Arrangements are under direction of The Alpha Society Cremation.
