Betty June Pyle Davidson was born on Dec. 16, 1925, in Lynwood, Calif., to Guy and Agnes Pyle. She ascended to her Heavenly home on Dec. 15, 2010.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andy Davidson; sister, Marge Kahlo; and parents, Guy Pyle and Agnes Swift.
Betty was taught by her father to love nature and the beauty of the outdoors. She enjoyed a passion for gardening and exercise, playing tennis into her eighties. Betty lived her adult life in Bakersfield, Calif., where she spent many hours at the Bakersfield Racquet Club helping her husband, Andy, teaching tennis camps and working in the tennis pro shop and soda fountain.
Following retirement, they moved to Port Hueneme, Calif. She is survived by her loving sister, Laurie Hill (Dean); daughter, Andrea Christiansen; son, Bill Davidson (Jan); as well as eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Remembrances may be sent to Buena Vista Hospice, 143 Triunfo Canyon Road, #103, Westlake Village, CA 91361. Private family services will be held following the holidays.
