Donald V. Dikes, longtime resident of Ventura, passed away on Nov. 19, 2010 after a long illness with cancer.
Finally his work here is done. He was born in Fresno in 1937, the youngest child of nine children. He and his wife Jeaneene of 50 years had three children, Donald E. Dikes, Cherlynn Dikes Mortimer and Victoria Dikes Givens.
Leaving six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Don was all about family and friends, also wood working, boating, camping, fishing and RVing. He lived life to the fullest and had a grateful heart.
Services and rosary will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30 at Sacred Heart Church in Ventura. In lieu of flowers, you may donate to the Cancer Society. Donald has been entrusted to the family owned, Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home; 643-8623.

I am very sorry to hear of your loss. What great memories I have of being included in your family functions and spending countless hours at your house while I was growing up. My deepest sympathy to the entire family.

My most sincere sympathy to the family. I remember Mr. Dikes when I used to go to the Dikes home when I hung around Cherlynn.
