Donald Weston Muir passed away on Oct. 20, 2010 at Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo after a brief illness. Don was a retired Navy veteran of WWII and Korea serving as a Missile Techician Chief with Submarine Service.
Don (Pop) is survived by his son, Don R. Muir and his wife Linda of Torrance; granddaughters, Michelle and Christina, and their husbands, Doug Armstrong and Michael Bateman respectively; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn, in 1999.
Pop was an avid golfer, collector of old cars and loved watching baseball and college football. He was a loving, generous and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed every day.
A chapel service is planned for 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at Camino del Sol Memorial Center and Funeral Home, 200 North C St., Oxnard, with burial to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura. I worked with your dad for thirty-one years. We bowled, golfed, payed poker, and had many wonderful times together!

Please accept our deepest sympathy for the passing of Don Muir. My father was a very good friend and co-worker with Don. Me and my girlfriend Vikki have very fond memories of times spent having dinner with Don and my father! May he rest in peace.
