Henry Gardner Obituary

Husband for 67 years, survived by wife Nell, son John Gardner, daughter Linda Russell, three grandchildren and four great-granddaughters.

Born in Brookfield, Mo., Sept. 10, 1915. At a young age, he worked at the Brown Shoe Co. Henry was one of the first names called for the draft in 1941. He served in WWII with the 95th Infantry. While stationed in Austin, Texas, he met and married Nell Ottinger Sept. 9, 1943. They moved to California's San Fernando Valley soon after.

Northrup Ventura took them to Newbury Park in 1962. After retiring, they moved to New Hall, Friendly Valley from 1980-89, and then to Thunder Bird Park before moving to Grand Oaks two years ago.

Visitation is at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks-Griffin Memorial Park and Mortuary on Thursday, Dec. 9 from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held at the United Methodist Church in Thousand Oaks on Friday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. We will dearly miss our wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
