She was an original member of St. Peter Claver Church and was the choir director for over 35 years. She was also a dedicated member of the Bereavement Committee and Mission Circle. Maralee was a wonderful grammi, a terrific mother-in-law and a valued friend.
Whenever we see purple PT Cruisers or ducks we will always think of her.

My daughter and I met Maralee almost two years ago when we took up card making. Almost every month she shared with us her great love of her family

I remember my first National Elevator Convention. Everyone I met asked when Maralee was going to arrive. I know why. Maralee was beautiful inside and out, and had that crazy sense of humor. She was so much fun to be with. She was devoted to her work, her friends, her Church, but most of all... her family. Whenever we got together she would ask how we were doing, then she would go into the latest about her boys. She treasured every moment had with Tom, Lisa, and the boys. She many times said that Lisa was more of a daughter to her than a daughter-in-law. She took very good care of her parents, and after her dad passed away, her mom. When wet woulg get together the day after Thanksgiving each year, she would bring Frank and Claire with her. The three of them would crack us up. Maralee never failed to get us laughing by telling us about the things her parents did or said.
We miss our Ducky Lady so much that it cannot be put into words, but all that knew her know exactly what we are feeling. If there is reincarnation, she is coming back as a beautiful purple duck.
I know she is leading the Choir in heaven, as well as watching over her little Ducky family.
Our deepest heartfelt sympathy, thoughts, and prayers go out to Tom, Lisa, and the boys, as well as Maralee's Mom, brother, and sister.

She will be missed by people half way across the country, in Indiana as well. I will miss her twisted sense of humor and comical e-mails. She was quite unlike anyone I have ever met, and will be sorely missed. Angie Shaffer
