Marian Bayley passed away peacefully on Oct. 31, 2010 in Camarillo. She was born Aug. 13, 1926 in Oxnard.
Marian was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mary and Peter Connelly; her son Edward Osmossen; her husbands Fred Osmossen and H.Wm Bayley and her brother Wm.P. Connelly. Marian is survived by daughter Susan Osmossen-Flechsig; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Marian was a member of one of the pioneer farming families in Ventura County with generations of relatives and friends being part of that community. Her home and gardens were her most prized accomplishments. Attending to both, happy and busily cleaning, trimming, or planting something new everyday. She received such joy in all her family pets. Marian enjoyed many wonderful moments with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Unfortunately she never got to know her one and only great-great-grandson.
She always had plenty of treats and fun activities for them to do and on occasions she could get them to help with the chores.
Marian's immediate family extends their humble thanks and gratitude to Ednas Residential Care for their love and support while giving Marian comforting care during her long fight with Alzheimer's. A viewing will be held on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010 at 3 -8 p.m. at DFA Conrad/James Reardon Mortuary, 401 West Channel Islands Blvd., Oxnard, with a rosary at 7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Chapel at 10 a.m. on Mon, Nov. 8, 2010. Burial will follow at Conejo Mountain Memorial Park in Camarillo. A reception will be held immediately after at the Conejo Mt. Memorial Park office/meeting area.

My dearest grandma, now has the peace, that she so deserved, She will be missed but not forgotten, there is no way I could, she will always be on my left shoulder saying "jenny............. you know you shouldn't be doing that " there was no budging her morals, I will see you someday again.
