Maricela Padilla Obituary
Maricela (Mari) Padilla was called to the Lord on Oct. 27, 2010.
She was born to Roberto Padilla and Carmen Magallon on July 8, 1980 in Oxnard. Mari's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her outgoing personality, beautiful smile, and infectious laughter brought so much joy to her family and friends.
Mari was a 1998 graduate of Hueneme High School. Mari was employed by Von's where she was a clerk/cashier. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family and always had a great time wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mari is survived by her parents, Robert Padilla, stepmother, Imelda Padilla, and mother, Carmen Magallon; brother, Robert Padilla; niece, Alixx Padilla; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
Visitation is planned from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, 200 North C St., Oxnard. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3 at St. Anthony's Church, Oxnard, with burial to follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Oxnard. I had a dream about you last night,and it seemed so real. You hugged me so hard and told me "It's okay" and the love I felt from that hug made me feel like it was really you Mari. Like you were letting me know youre okay. You just looked at me & smiled and hugged me so long and I woke up shaking my head, like...did that realy happen. I know youre gone, but I also know youre up there with the Lord now smiling down upon us. You werent scared to die, and always said you were ready cause you knew where you were going, and that gives me peace. RIP my friend, you are forever loved.

I feel blessed having known Mari from just seeing her weekly at Von's. She made an impression on me by her helpful, kind and easy going attitude. May the Lord comfort all her family! I will miss her.

Mari, it's a shock to find out about this. Me, Janel, Paty H , and Sara were just mentioning you not long ago when we decided to get together for dinner. I asked my mom if she remembered you and to my suprise she DID! You were a wonderful friend back "in the day" & continued to be. You will be greatly missesd amiga. I have known you since I was 13 years old Mari. I loved you in your skater faze with your tore jeans! We have shared so many memories through skateboarding, double dating, hanging out playing ball, shooting pool or just chit chatting about life, family and love.
