Max Foster Obituary

Max Foster passed away at home after a long illness on January 8, 2011. He is preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Foster, who passed away in 1986. He is survived by his wife, Linda Foster and step-son Larry Keeter in Lake Havasu. He is also survived by his three children; Mark Foster, David Foster & Susan Winover and four grandchildren; Ian Foster, Kaylyn Foster, Hailey Keeter & Audrey Forrest.

Born in eastern Canada on July 27, 1929, he was brought in to the world by his parents who immigrated from England. They moved back to England when Max was a little tot and he lived there until he was 5 when they returned to Canada. He spent the next 28 years there where he married his first wife and they raised two children, Mark and Susan. He courageously migrated his family out to southern California in 1964 when he transferred from his job at Bell Telephone of Canada to General Telephone of Southern California. Max and Audrey had a third child, David, to complete their family. Max spent the rest of his career with General Telephone until he retired in 1987. He remarried, Linda Haave, in 1988 and they moved to Lake Havasu approximately 8 years later.

Max was a beloved father and family man who will be sorely missed. His passion was his love of dogs which he passed on to his children. He spent his retirement years relaxing and enjoying the slow pace of Lake Havasu, Arizona. He was always very excited when the kids would come in to town and spend a while with him. A private ceremony will be held for family only and his ashes will be disbursed at sea per his wishes. The family is indebted to the fine people of Hospice in Havasu.
