Love does not die, people do. So when all that is left of me is love
Give me away
Patty was born on Sept. 16, 1942 in the Bronx, N.Y. After a very long, painful journey with cancer, Patty released her fight to the Lord and found her peace on Nov. 21, 2010 at her home in Thousand Oaks. The love of her family and her faith in God gave her the courage to continue her eight year battle. Patty's strength was in the Lord; the Lord was her Savior.
Patty was very active in her political battle to help bring our nation back to what our Founding Fathers believed in. She fought for truth and supported conservative values for our country and nation. She was a prolific writer and wrote many papers supporting all of her beliefs. She was not afraid of conflict or controversy and never failed to speak her mind. She had a powerful desire to learn and understand all that she could on topics of nutrition, homeopathy, government, religion, and real estate to name a few.
Her love of horses was realized at a very young age when her mother looked out the window to see her oldest daughter leading a horse from the sugar cane fields of Puerto Rico with her little sister walking under the belly of the horse. Before Patty could write her name she could draw a horse. This love of horses would grow throughout her years with Chantilly Farms in Virginia, Hunts Over Farms in Texas and Plummer Street in Chatsworth.
Patty leaves her loving family: her husband and caregiver, Doug Ranger; her mother, Evelyn Gillin of Comanche, Texas; her sisters and their spouses, Nancy and Jack Adams of Comanche, Texas, Joyce and Albert Vinazza of Castera, France, Kelly and Kenny Dean of Broken Arrow, Okla.; her brothers and their spouses, James Gillin of Seattle, Wash., and William and Pam Gillin of Memphis, Tenn.; her beautiful niece who was like a daughter, Ena Stimson; and her grand children: Devon, Megan, Bailey and Piper; her niece, Amethyst Gillin; her nephews, Scott and Natalie Adams, Collin and Emmanuelle Hill, Byron and Gercende Hill; great-nieces and nephews, LeAnna Stimson, Leighton and Braydon Gillin, Antaylla and Alister Hill and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and wonderful friends. Patty's spirit has joined her daughter, Lisa Gail, and father, James M. Gillin. We are thankful for the prayers that were said all over the world for our Patty.
Patty, you are at peace; no more pain; God has given your body back. The family would appreciate that any contributions be made to the Hahnemannian Research Center for Homeopathy, 18818 Teller Ave., Suite 170, Irvine, CA 92612.
