Raymond Lopez Obituary
On Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 heaven welcomed a new angel-- Raymond Paul Lopez, Jr. (R.Lo).He was born on Jan. 16, 1957 in Ventura and was a lifelong resident. He attended Buena High School and he proudly worked for E.J. Harrison & Sons for 33 years as a truck driver.
Ray loved being with his family and friends and could easily make a new friend wherever he went. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet him knew that he had a gentle and kind spirit. One of his passions was to be riding his Harley. Ray was a member of the Carnales Bike Club and enjoyed riding with is brothers. He truly enjoyed the simple things in life: his family, his home, reading the Star after work, and laughing with his friends.
Ray is survived by his wife, Stella Lopez of Ventura; son, Raymond Lopez III of Ventura; daughter, Natalie Jaramillo of Santa Paula and husband Michael; son, Steven Ray Lopez of Ventura; daughter, Paula Rae Lopez of Ventura; parents, Raymond and Martina Lopez of Ventura; sister, Sophia Tinajero and husband Alfred of Ventura; brother, Robert Lopez and wife Doris of Ventura; grandchildren, Aaron, Celine, Taliah of Santa Paula and Vinnie of Ventura.
Viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26 at Reardon Funeral Home, 757 E. Main St., Ventura. Service will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the City Church, 6360 Telephone Road, Ventura (corner of Telephone and Hill Street). Burial will follow at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, 5400 Valentine Road, Ventura. Mr. Lopez has been entrusted to the care of the family owned Reardon Funeral Homes Ventura and Oxnard.

To the Lopez Family,
I had the pleasure to see Ray now and then at the Landfill,where I still work.
I looked forward to talking Bikes with him. He always had a smile even though his job was tough.We had some fun conversations .I ride the rice burners.He rode the only real motorcycle,HARLEY DAVIDSON!!! God Bless You and your family,and ride in peace,Ray.

At this time many thoughts race through our minds, good memories and difficult time you shared with Ray. I worked with Ray for many years and thought of him as a friend. Though I am far away and no longer close Those of us who knew Ray are deeply sorry that he is no longer here. Just know that one day you will be reunited with him for all ertinity.
