Dear Aunt Jean and family,
The news of Bob’s passing was so unexpected. I wish that we could all be out there with you during this time. Bob was so full of energy, humor and life. Every picture I have of him he has a big grin on his face. And I loved how he always kept current in whatever he was in to. In fact the day before he passed away he sent me his new e-mail address. He told me once that he was so happy to have lived long enough to enjoy all his wonderful grandchildren. That makes me think he felt his life was complete. No one can deny that Bob lived life to its fullest and I think we can all learn a lesson from his example.
Love,
Debra, Pat, Gretchen, Jason, Joanna, Parker and Patrick

Bob liked to bike ride. We'd meet on weekends and ride around Oxnard Harbor, sometimes extending to Ventura Harbor. Ocasionally we'd ride north from Buena Ventura Beach Park up the coast to, maybe, Faria Beach or beyond. His highlight of the ride was usually a stop for coffee, pastry, and talk. He liked to use me as a sounding board for his business ideas, looking for the possible pitfalls he had missed. He also used me as a foil for his politics, altho we were much to much in agreement on most issues. He will be sadly missed.

A bright light was extinguished on earth but continues to shine in our memories. Bob (Doc), as we called him, was an exuberant individual with a perpetual smile on his face and we enjoyed his almost daily visits to our market. His wit and intelligence challenged us, his friendship was genuine and his concern for you was sincere.
We will miss him and share in your sorrow. Our love and prayers to Jean and the family.

I think that next to his uncle (Ellis), Bob was one of the brightest men I knew. I know that Ellis and Mom 'set store' by Bob and Jean, and over the yrs Yoly and I admired his humor and wisdom! They always looked forward to the time they'd spend every year with them!

Dear Jean and family,
Bob was one of the most colorful people I've ever met. I can't help but smile when I remember his humor while working in the dental office with him. That was over 30 years ago!!!
Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Dear Jean and Family,
Bob was a great guy. He always stayed in touch with family and was a great cousin. My Mom loved him and was always thrilled to hear from him. He was always ready for a joke and always spoke his mind. He treasured and spoke of you often in our conversations. You and the kids, and then grandkids, brought him great joy. I loved him and he will always be "my cuz". I want to thank you for keeping him so happy and making his life so nice.
Love,
"yo cuz", Steve Grifka

Dear Jean and Family,
We were saddened to read about Bob this morning. Seems like we have known him forever and not just the last thirty something years.
Be sad only for those who did not have the pleasure to know him,the rest of us will smile whenever we think of him, as we are the ones with the memories.
May he rest in peace.

To the Feller family,
I met Bob at the Edge health club in 2006. Bob had an engaging personality that drew people to him. He and I would argue the political issues in a friendly manner. He loved his family and his country. I will miss his e-mails and his friendship. With heartfelt condolences, Bobby Hill

Dear Jean and family,
I met Bob at the gym in Oxnard. He shared with me an idea of developing an electronic personal medical ID record. I recall when he had a heart valve replacement, too. He spoke fondly of his children, and the athletes he met at Mammoth Lakes. We knew health professionals in common in Thousand Oaks where I once practiced.
Please accept my sincere condolences on your loss.
Warmly,
Katherine Anderson, RN, FNP
