Ruben Romero Obituary

It is with great sadness and love in our hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. Ruben died and went to be with the Lord on Sept. 21, 2010. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed watching Cowboys games, boxing and spending time with his two daughters, Pichi and Angelina.
He is survived by his father, Jesus Romero, Sr.; brothers, Jesus, Jr. and Cruz; sisters, Martha and Elizabeth. Ruben was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Romero.
Visitation is planned for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. at Camino del Sol Funeral Home, 200 North C Street, Oxnard. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 1, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish, Oxnard, with burial to follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, Oxnard.

Ruben may you rest in peace. It has been 16 years since I saw you last. I enlisted in the Marines and have been away from Oxnard. I would think of you often. All the fun times that you, me, and the rest of the guys had. During a recent move I found some old casette tapes. I played them and the songs on the tape where songs that we would listen at your house. I will never forget all the great times we had. From Esteban and Veronica Rosas. Semper Fi!
