Sherry Bucher passed away Friday morning, December 17, 2010 in her home after a long and courageous struggle with ovarian cancer.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Sunshine Bucher, her sisters Benita Sterner and Brenda Barron; her brother Paul Dills and wife Linda Dills, and nephews Ray Sterner, Danny Plane, Tom Plane, Scott Barron and Kevin Malone.
She was dearly beloved by her family and friends and her generous and loving spirit will live on in the hearts of many. Sherry was born February 8, 1946. She graduated from Birmingham High School and had a long career in accounting. While her favorite pastime was reading, she also enjoyed art, ceramics, and camping. She attended the Ojai Valley Community Church for many years and for the past two years she attended Calvary Chapel of Ojai Valley where she felt very loved and accepted.
Many thanks to those who prayed, sent cards, or gave words of encouragement. Special thanks to Livingston Hospice and the kind and caring staff there- "You were wonderful". They were very helpful and Sherry appreciated them very much. The memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, at the Calvary Chapel of Ojai Valley located at 195 Mahoney Ave., Oak View, 93022. Arrangements were made with Perez Family Funeral Home in Ojai.
