Theresa Costello Obituary
Theresa Ann Costello went straight to Heaven on November 2, 2010 after a long illness and convalescence at Magnolia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Riverside, California. Theresa was the beloved daughter of Twila J. Costello, of Riverside, and Robert J. Costello of Ventura, California.
Theresa was born in Dayton, Ohio but lived most of her life in Riverside. Theresa lived a full and very happy life surrounded by the people and places that she loved, and she was loved by all who knew her. She enjoyed drawing, watching TV, listening to music, and hanging out with her family and cats. Most of all, she loved being with her beloved "mom", going to church, shopping, out to eat, or to Palm Springs. Theresa finished school at Norte Vista High School in Riverside. After leaving school she was employed in two local convalescent hospitals and then participated in sheltered work and day programs through Arc of Riverside.
Theresa is survived by her mother and father, and grandmother, Pauline Dewitte of Riverside. She leaves behind a sister and brother, Cheryl Kopp of Victorville, and Jason Costello of Riverside, and three half siblings, Max Costello of Encinitas, Sarah Hale of Post Falls, Idaho, and Ian Costello of Ventura. She also leaves behind her stepmother, Fran Arner-Costello, and nieces and nephews Joshua, Mika and Michael Kopp, Alexis Stouff, and Avery Hale. Surviving aunts and uncles include Merlyn Shiverdecker, Carol Keich and Adele Bey. She also leaves a great-niece and nephew, Jaidyn and Rylan Stouff.
Special condolences to Twila Costello and a heartfelt thanks for your dedication to Theresa for the last 45 years.
A memorial service is scheduled for December 5, 2010. 3-7 p.m. at Grove Community Church in Riverside.
Donations in Theresa's memory to purchase children's books to raise awareness about children with disabilities can be made to Rainbow Connection Family Resource Center, 2401 E. Gonzales Road, Ste 100, Oxnard, CA 93036. (Attn: Theresa Costello fund). Mark 9:37 "Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me."
