Ivon Bartel Obituary

Lee Bartel Ivon Levi "Lee" Bartel passed away October 30, 2011 at the age of 78. He was born April 4, 1937 in Madrid, Nebraska to his parents, John and Elma Bartel. Lee worked worked for Conklin Service for 30 years as an agricultural products salesman. He loved to play Bingo and win. He enjoyed going to the Palace, loved football and attending the Senior Citizen Center. He was involved with the Farm Show and a member of Tulare AmVets Post #56. Lee was a very gentle, moral, Christian man. He was also a dog lover and extremely fond of his little dog Ginger who will miss him terribly. Survivors include his wife, Kay Bartel of Visalia; daughter, Laura Schmitt schmitt and husband, Jason of Aberdeen, MD; three sisters, Joyce Lusk of Bakersfield, Marilyn J. Witham and husband, Bud of Bakersfield and Virge Perelli-Minetti of Paso Robles; mother-in-law, Georgia Howard of Visalia; many nieces and nephews and his special caregiver, Maria Hernandez. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 7, 2011 at Tulare First Assembly of God Church, 316 So. Mooney. Arrangements are by Peers Lorentzen Funeral Service.
