Mark Distefano Obituary

Mark Distefano passed away on November 11, 2010. He is the Uncle of Kristin Distefano who passed away January 17, 2010 and the son of Paul Distefano.
Mark was a twenty year resident of Victorville. He was 47 years old, and loved the High Desert. Because of his illness Mark remained a Bachelor although he always wished for a wife.
Mark attended Pasadena College in Pasadena, California earning his degree in Fine Literature, and History. Mark then went on to The California Polytechnic University in Pomona, California where he studied Literature and Music Composition.
Music and Poetry were Mark's passion. Although he struggled with heart disease, and related illnesses he continued to compose and created Musical compositions in his private studio at his home, where he lived with his father, sister and until recently, his now-deceased Niece. He published several books of beautiful poetry.
Mark was a gentle, and a fine man of Christian principles. All who knew him loved him. Mark died quietly and peacefully in his beloved studio. Every night before he retired, Mark would tell his family how much he loved us.
We, his family, and all who knew Mark will miss his gentle spirit and his wonderful kindness and smile.
Services and visitation for Mark will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 13230 El Evado Road, Victorville, CA . Viewing will be from 10-11 AM on Wednesday with the services beginning at 11 A.M. with Father Mark Lander officiating.
Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memorial Park, 24000 Waalew Road , Apple Valley at 1:30 P.M.
Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary is handling the arrangements. Updated service information and online guest book are available at sunsethills.cc
