Michael Parr Obituary

Michael "Mike" Allen Parr, 65, passed away April 7, 2009, at his Apple Valley home, with his family by his side.

Mike was born June 28, 1943, in Urbana, Ill. Mike was a resident of the Victor Valley for 23 years and California for 30 years.

He was a truck driver for 30 years. He retired as a paralegal from the Law Offices of Debra S. Popineau in Apple Valley.

Mike served in the U.S. Air Force for seven years and was a Vietnam veteran.

Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years, Larra Parr, of Apple Valley; his daughters Emily Cornwell and her husband, Chad, of San Diego, and Jennie Lucas and her husband, Travis, of Apple Valley; son Andrew Parr of Ft. Benning, Ga.; his children from previous marriages, daughter Julianna LaDue of New York, son Michael Parr of Virginia, daughter Dawn Lavy and her husband, Jerry, of New York and Kelly Wilson and her husband, James, of New York; and one grandchild.

Mike will be missed by many loved ones, both family and friends.

Services were private.

Sunset Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary handled the arrangements.

Hello Mrs. Parr,

My Child Had you has there Teacher (Anthony Hart)That was awhile ago he is now going on 21yrs old. I still look at the News Paper in V.V Even thou I live In TX.I notice the last name Parr, I knew that last name and has I read I seen your name as his wife. I had to write you and tell you that my heart and prayers go out to you and your family. I am Truley sorry to see and Read of your Husband Passing. You were a Teacher that was so sweet and always had a smile on her face. Anthony just love to go to school to see you : ) you were his favorite teacher, I belive you had another one of my childeren Brent or Robert Hart. I just want to say Thank You for being a Great Teacher! and I am Truley Sorry May God Bless you and Give you Strength.
