Patricia Woodside Obituary

WALTHAM Mrs. Patricia A.(Delorey) Woodside, of Waltham, lost her courageous battle with cancer Friday, March 20, 2009, at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. She was 55. Pat was an avid painter and enjoyed working with ceramics and painting with acrylics on canvas. She was a voracious scrap-booker. The child in her always had a fascination and love for the Winnie the Pooh character Eeyore, and she cherished her relationship with her only grandchild, Neko, who lovingly called her "Mimi." Pat had a strong tie to the ocean and beaches, and a special affection for lighthouses. Among her favorite spots was Hampton Beach. She leaves her husband of 34 years, Robert I. Woodside; her sons, Nicholas R.Woodside and his wife, Celeste, of Waltham, and Adam F. Woodside and his fiance, Melanie Oulighan, both of Maynard; her granddaughter, Neko Jorie Woodside; her siblings, Lin Levesque of Greenfield, N.H., Kelli Delorey and Robert Delorey, both of Waltham, William Delorey of Florida, and Michael Delorey of Massachusetts; her mother-in-law, Anne E. Freitag and her husband, Robert, of Newington, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews. Patricia was also a daughter-in-law of the late Frederick A. Woodside.
