Sieg and I worked together in the engineering side of FAA. He was smart, compassionate, and well respected. His contributions to our aviation system's safety and capacity will benefit generations of passengers. Those of us who had the good fortune to work with Sieg will always remember his passion to make our world a better place.

I was so sorry to hear that Sieg had passed away. He was a friend, and a professional with broad talents. I had lunch with Sieg just a couple of weeks ago. I worked for Sieg for about ten years at the FAA, on the follow-on work stemming from the ending of he AEROSAT satellite program (to put aeronautical satellites over the Atlantic Ocean); this work included oceanic system improvement studies, which included the ICAO Council FANS Committee, etc. Sieg was very successful in accomplishing long term objectives. He and his wife, Selma, were friends that I will continue to miss. We can only hope that time and the wonderful memories of Sieg and his accomplishments will help to ease the pain that his family feels at his passing. Victor Foose

We are so sorry to hear of your great loss. Your dad always welcomed us into your home whenever we visited and made us feel "grown up" during our late adolescent years. May his memory be a blessing to you and your family.

Your father was a dear, sweet man--I always enjoyed talking with him. He was warm, friendly and intelligent...and self-effacing. I know how much you will miss him and my heart goes out to you and your family.
