FULDA T. MAIMONE  
Passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, wife of the late Joseph Maimone, mother of Joseph D. Maimone (Nancy), Lawrence P. Maimone (Christine), and Linda M. Leach (Richard); grandmother of seven and great-grandmother of two. Relatives and friends may call at Everly-Wheatley Funeral Home, Thursday, April 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., 1500 W. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Friday, April 4 at 11 a.m., 5121 Woodland Way, Annandale, VA 22003; followed by Internment at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Avenue, Suitland, MD 20746. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Capital Care, 2900 Telestar Court, Falls Church, VA 22042. Fulda had a great sense of humor and I loved listening to her voice when she'd describe something or some event! No matter what she was describing, you couldn't help but laugh out loud!

Fulda had a great sense of humor and I often caught my Mom and Fulda laughing and talking across the fences, as our backyards joined each other. I also remember my mother cutting open some tomatoes she'd grown and finding these silver seeds in them....turns out that Fulda's son, Joe, had shot b-bs into them! HAHAHAH! My sincere condolences to the Maimone family. Fulda and my Mom were good friends when we lived in District Heights. I remember Joe Maimone Jr., as I lived on Gateway Blvd and he lived on Halleck Street and our backyards faced each other.

Linda and family-Fulda was a special lady with a great sense of humor. Linda always helped her mom look beautiful every day I think to match her beautiful personality. Fulda was especially friendly and excited when a male stopped to talk with her-she never lost her femininity. Linda, you brightened up Leewood for everyone and everyone remembers your caring and generosity throughout the years. Fulda is now able to look down upon you and clearly say-Thank you daughter for the comfort you brought me without ever expressing regret. I will give you a hug when you meet me and say "That's ok".
Linda-so sorry I couldn't see her off-I was in the hospital after a car crash-Call me anytime & I'll give you my cell-Love you and kiss the family-Love, Eileen
