Survived by his wife Mary Loraine Adkins; son Lonnie Ray Nunley; daughters and their husbands Carrie Marie (Donald) Frazier, Rebecca Lynn (David) Jones, and Rhonda Louise (Tim) McCoy and son Robert Danny Adkins Jr.; brothers Gene Adkins and Lawyers (Alene) Adkins and six grandchildren. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at EVERLY-WHEATLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1500 W. Braddock Rd., Alexandria, VA where services will be held on Thursday, November 6, at 12:30 p.m. Interment National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA.
