Dear Esther,
I tried to write a message in here the other day but it didn't "take." I'll try again. You have the prayers and thoughts of all of the Okenfusses with you. We will always remember the times we've spent with you and Fred through the last 25+ years, enjoying the shared grandchildren's births, parties, concerts, sightseeing, and just plain fun. We treasure the many stories of Fred's college years especially. We'll pray for you in your grieving. Much love to you and the family.
Much love,
Julie & Dick Okenfuss

Esther,
I was saddened this evening, April 15 th, when Kay Marcie notified me of Fred's passing by e-mail. Fred was such a kind, good and gentle man possesed of great intelligence in so many areas. I will always cherish my brief encounters with him and now easily recall his wry smiles and wit. You are so fortunate to have had such a man in your life for so long a time and no doubt will continue to share his nature in your daily musings for the rest of your life. May Peace find you now and please understand my intentions when I say that I believe that there is found an immediate joy when I learn of the death of a friend because a surge of wonderful recollections of past times well spent always streams into my consciousness.
Yours always,
Ray Kent
