FRANCIS CARMEN DeLUCIA  LTC, US Army Reserve (Ret.)  
Francis Carmen DeLucia of McLean, VA passed away on January 9, 2014. Born May 20, 1931 in Bradford, PA, he was one of four children of Carmen and Mary Grace DeLucia. Francis, known to his friends and family as Fran, married Joann Marie Bottiglione on June 27, 1964 in Indiana, PA and was looking forward to celebrating 50 years of marriage. A military officer and committed public servant, DeLucia worked in local, state and federal government for more than 40 years. He is survived by his wife, Joann Marie DeLucia, McLean, VA; daughter, Marie DeLucia Ternieden, McLean, VA and son-in-law, Claudio Henrique Ternieden McLean, VA; sisters, Mary Ann DeLucia, Washington, DC and Rosemary Moser, Butler, PA; brothers-in-law, Drs. John and Richard Bottiglione and Ronald Moser; sisters-in-law, Carole and Connie Bottiglione; and many wonderful nephews, nieces, grand-nephews and grand-nieces. The family will receive visitors at the chapel at St. Luke Catholic Church, 7001 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA on Tuesday, January 14 from 10 to 11:45 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated by Father David Martin at 12 Noon. Interment with Full Military Honors at Arlington National Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Childhelp at the Alice C. Tyler Village in Lignum, VA.

Uncle Fran was an amazing man. He touched so many lives in so many wonderful ways as an educator. He inspired those around him to be better people. He will continue to live on in the hearts of those who have come to know and love him dearly.
