LAURIE SHERFEY KIRWIN
On Sunday, November 21, 2010 of Fairfax, VA. Beloved wife of Kevin Kirwin; sister of Lisa Sherfey Cushing (Cameron), Dave Sherfey (Sheryl) and Michael Dugan; aunt of Vanessa, Sydney, Adam and Alec. Memorial Service will be held at the Annandale United Methodist Church, 6935 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003 on Thursday, December 2 at 3 p.m. Interment private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Laurie S. Kirwin Memorial Fund, c/o BB & T Bank, 1220 Fairfax Town Center, Fairfax, VA 22033-2877. Arrangements Murphy FALLS CHURCH FUNERAL HOME.

I wish to offer my deepest condolences to Kevin and his family. Though I never met Laurie in person, we spoke many times on the phone as she helped me get regular in-home nursing care. She followed up with calls to insure that my needs were being met and it was her husband, Kevin who got me my powered wheelchair. Having suffered the loss of my wife of 17 years to cancer in 2002, I know the pain and sense of loss you are experiencing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My sympathies go out to Laurie's husband Kevin, family and friends. She was as good as they come. Laurie brought smiles to anyone that was lucky enough to meet her. Her laughter was contagious, she was just a blast to be around. I know she'll never be forgotten and I along with many other people with miss her dearly. Thank you for all the great times Laurie. You were one of a kind.

Laurie was my best friend of 20 years. She was a very loving and caring person. It's devastating to all those that knew and loved her that she was taken so sudden. The world lost a special person. She lived her life to the fullest and I miss her terribly. I cherish the times that we shared and will always remember her. I miss and love you Laurie. R.I.P. my friend.
