ABNER SAMPSON Obituary
ABNER McKINLEY SAMPSON, SR.
Washington Entrepreneur and Owner of the Air-Way V.I.P. Room which closed in 2004, departed this life on Monday, May 23, 2011. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 48 years, Earline Sampson; his devoted children, Bo, Michael, Yolanda, and Gary Sampson; three grandchildren, Melanie Shorts, Lydia Sampson, and Victoria Sampson; his sister, Clarise McLeod; his brother-in-law, Fred McLeod; two nieces, Shawn and Kay McLeod; his niece, Melissa Dougherty; his nephews, Derek Nelson and Milton Broadnax; godchildren; and other loving relatives and friends. On Friday, June 3, 2011, a wake will be held at Takoma Park Baptist Church, 635 Aspen Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20012 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. The Interment will be at Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Spirit of Peace Baptist Church, 4311 R Street, Capitol Heights, MD 20743 and Takoma Park Baptist Church, Washington, DC. Arrangements by MCGUIRE.
