ROBERT GOFF

ROBERT MAYNARD GOFF  
Passed away peacefully on February 1, 2018 in Hanover, New Hampshire at the age of 76. Bob was born in Albany, New , February 15, 1941 and grew up Syracuse, New York. He graduated from Williams College in 1962 with a degree in economics and Harvard Law School in 1965.  After law school, Bob enlisted in the US Navy where his service took him to the Pacific during the Vietnam War. Bob spent his entire legal career with Mobil Oil as in house council for the tax department working on multiple international projects. While at Mobil Bob was known for his broad acceptance of anyone without regard to position and his careful deliberation of the complex issues facing the corporation.  Bob will be remembered as a most caring husband and father who made decisions with integrity and compassion. He was selfless, a rock of stability and always there in times of need for his family, friends and even those he did not know. Bob loved life and had a specific interest in history and travelling with Nancy. Robert Goff is survived by his beloved wife Nancy of 53 years; his two sons, Jonathan Goff, married to Kirsten and David Goff, married to Anita; his five grandchildren and his brother William Goff, married to Marilyn. A celebration of life for Robert Goff will be held at the Cosmos Club, 2121 Massachusetts Ave., Washington DC, from 3 to 6 p.m., Saturday March 3, 2018.  In lieu of flowers, please send contributions to Kendal at Hanover, New Hampshire. To view an online memorial and or send a message of condolence to the family, please visit, www.rand-wilson.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rand-Wilson Funeral Home of Hanover, NH.
