For over thirty years I treated a lot of people in my career in dentistry, Even though I try to remember faces and names, Gerry Wessells stands out in my memory. To the family, may Gerry's memory fill your hearts with joy and remembrance. God Bless

As his dentist, I will always miss his stories. I would purposely add an extra fifteen minutes to his scheduled appointment because I new a story was in the midst. :) A beautiful spirit. Rest In Peace. Condolences to the family

Gerry was a mentor from the earliest part of my career as a civilian rookie, with no public safety communications, much less public safety experience, whatsoever. He provided wisdom and wonderful counsel to me throughout my career, about work, life, and history. He was a voracious reader and great conversationalist. As others have noted, he had a wonderful laugh, along with many wonderful stories borne of military and police experience, too.
He and Mary were the cutest couple I ever saw, and they had the extra close habit of finishing each other's sentences. Outside of my parents and in-laws, they were the most in synch pair I knew--and now they are truly together again.
Pamela and Jack, George and Tommy, your family and friends, my wife Susan and I want to express our sympathy for the loss of your father and brother, respectively.
With condolence and respect, Charles "Chuck" Nash, Jr.

There are few people I had the privilege of working with that left a positive impression on my career. Gerry was one of those people. He always had the time and wisdom to talk with me and in some cases calmed me down. I will remember him fondly and may he rest in peace.

He was my youngest brother. He was much to young to die. However he is now with the love of his life, who also died much too young. They will always be loved and remembered.

Gerry was my next door neighbor, and my friend. He taught me so much in this last year and a half about life, lawn care, home repair over an endless cup of coffee. I will miss our coffee clatches. I always looked forward to his words of wisdom and his hearty laugh. He was very good at lending a hand when I needed it, advice when it was warranted and chasing errant squirrels out of my kitchen. I will miss him greatly!
My thoughts and prayers go out to the family; he loved you all so much!
