On Friday, March 31, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of the late Anne Posey; father of Kelly A. Posey (Kevin McCaul) and Dana Wells (Craig); grandfather of Adeline, Aidan, Jacob and Nathaniel; brother-in-law of Katherine Posey and uncle of Ernest Posey. Funeral Service and Interment private. I roomed with Hal at William amd Mary in the Spring of 1954. One of the best roommates I ever had and I took my afternoon naps to a muted horn in a closed closet playing "Perdido". Kind and considerate, enjoyed sports and as Hal "Posin", a decent golfer . Regret I didn't see more of him in later years. Gabriel has a worthy back-up, so play on, Hal. RIP

My husband played with Hal for many many years. They were great musician friends. Those years with Gene Donati brought together the best musicians in Washington DC.
John played drums. He died in 2015. Unfortunately the people today will never know how remarkable these musicians were. My regards to your family. Cheryl Popielasz
