Henry Joseph Lilly 'Hank" (Age 76)
On Tuesday, December 5, 2017, of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved husband of Katherine "Bunny" Lilly; loving father of Alexa (Peter) Gilmore, Christine (Ty) McSwain, Greg (Yvonne) Lilly and Matthew Lilly. Grandpa Hankie to Lilly, Grace, Griff, Nat, Devan, Casey, Summer, Tate, Paige, Tess, Trinity and Hank. Brother of Liz (Danny) Berkery, Joe (Maureen) Lilly, Frank (Kitty) Lilly, Emmy Sylvester, Danny (Jackie) Lilly, Maggie (Charlie) Yetter and Martin (Sue) Lilly. Also survived by many friends and relatives. Visitation at Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament, 5949 Western Ave. NW, Washington, DC, on Friday, December 15, from 9:30 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Catholic Charities Foundation, Archdiocese of Washington, C/o Msgr. Hi Bunny this is Jim Sterling an old friend of Hank´s. We worked together at BWI My Alma Mater, USC is playing the Terps today so I thought of Hank. I really enjoyed working with Hank he was a real sweet guy and a pleasure to work with.

I didn't know that Hank passed away until I read the Gonzaga News. I was very sadden and send you and your family my condolences. Although i was 2 years ahead of Hank at Gonzaga, I developed a friendship with Hank and each time we met (which wasn't often), he acted like we had just seen each other the day before. Always a smile on his face and a positive word. Great guy who will be genuinely be missed.

Dear Lilly family,
I just noticed Hank's Obituary in the Washington Post. We graduated from Blessed Sacrament in the same class. Although we sort of "drifted apart" after grade school, we did run into one another from time to time and I remember him fondly. Hank never seemed to change--- from the kind boy he was to the kind man he became. Although I know that you all must miss him terribly, you can take some comfort in knowing that he is surely in a better place, at peace with the Lord.

Bunny, Our sincerest condolences. Hank was such a great guy. We shall always remember that even when things were tough, Hank always had a smile. He shall never be forgotten. Remember that we are but a phone call or a few steps away.

Dear Lillys,

Bunny:
I knew Hank onward from 1954, he was a great competitor and an even greater man. When Matt Chose to play for DeMatha I was over the moon.
I wish miss him terribly; but he will always be in my prayers and my memory as a person who made my life better with his unending smile.
