Suddenly on Monday, December 4, 2017, of Lanham, MD, originally of London, England. Executive Director of Bethesda Cares, a nonprofit community outreach program for the homeless. Beloved father of Nicholas Anthony, Korrie Celiene, Jillian Alexandra and Jordan Elizabeth; son of Septimus Augustus Officer and Valciana Warren Officer; twin brother of Gary Anthony Officer, and brother of David Brown and the late Celiene Marie Officer. I will never forget Michael and his twin Gary when they first arrived to my primary school called John Burns in the UK from Jamaica. We instantly became friends, as uniquely our parents came from the same country and my brother and I are twins too, I'm sure you can imagine the bond grew and we were inseparable. Those early years in school were the cornerstone of our lives and from here we all progressed on to the same secondary school called Spencer Park, where we have many mutual friends.

Ultimately Michael and Gary moved to America and carved out their own respective remarkable careers, with Gary becoming a prominent figure in the States and Michael working for the Obama's.

I love these guys and I have upmost respect for them.

Please accept my sincere deepest condolences for MICHAEL, as I hold a candle to him, his family and friends after such a tragic loss.

I was yours and Gary's first friend when you both arrived on Chichester.. Just after you arrived in London... We even attended the same primary School as well as the same secondary School Spencer Park.. I have such fond memories of those days and the friendship between our dads.... We lost touch when we moved to Milton Keynes..But our friendship never ended...I never had any doubt about you making a good life for yourself in the US.. You always had that drive...You will definitely be missed... RIP Brother Michael x

So sad to hear of Michael's passing this week. I attended the same primary school as Michael in Battersea, an ordinary school in the inner suburbs of London. I know I speak for my peers when I say how proud we were that one of our own had carved such a successful career and life for himself.
