I met Dina about 10-12 years ago when we were both fellows at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts. I was immediately struck by her passion for music and music making and her brilliance. We have lost a lovely, wonderful, gentle soul. She later composed TRIOS OF WINDS for some twenty winds which was premiered and later recorded by the Lawrence Univ. Wind Ensemble in Wisconsin. We brought her out for the premiere and she also visited in Madison during
a year I spent at the Univ.of Wisconsin as the Artistic Director for the school's Contemporary Chamber Ensemble.
Does anyone know what will happen to her manuscripts and compositions? I am concerned that they are in a safe place where performers can also have access to them. I could arrange for them to be stored in the Lawrence University Music Library where they would be protected.
I would be most willing to work with anyone toward finding a place for her music. I can be reached at:
