We have been away for the past month. When I called Paul to confirm our lunch for next Friday, his phones were disconnected. We then discovered that Paul had passed on July 24. We are so sad that we couldn't see him on our trip to Williamsburg. We have known Paul since 1966. Paul was a good friend to us and in particular to the Navy. Our sympathy goes out to the family. We will think of him fondly.

Ray and I were so very blessed to have known you. We will remember you with love. Your Irish eyes that twinkled when you smiled, your love of God, family, friends and gardening were an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know you. Rest in peace. Love, Ray and Judi Slye

Paul was always a delight. For 15 years I shared a weekend a year in his company in Canaan West Virginia. An easy companion who always had a smile and a kind gentle word. A wonderful cook and a servant in the best sense of the word. He made a difference to each of us. We will miss him.

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any mans death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.

Paul will certainly be missed! He was a great friend and neighbor that would do anything for you. He would always stop by just to say "Hi" when we would come down to the Northern Neck. He loved his gardening and loved to show off his crops. He made the best jelly in the world that my son just loved. I will never forget the gardening tips he gave me and my family. He was truly a great man that loved all people. Our sincerest condolences to all of the Kilcarr Family.
