Carl Morano certainly was a hero. And I know he passed that quality on to his son, Marc, who will pass it on to his children. Marc's wife, Jen, has been a friend for over 20 years, and I know that their faith and heroicism will get them through these tough times...and help them to be strong for their children.
When my own father passed, I happened to open the bible to the part where angels at Christ's tomb wonder why people are looking for Him, there. Forgive my extreme paraphrasing, but the angels remind them that Christ had said He would rise, and had done so, and therefore...was not in the tomb. The services for Marc's dad will be very difficult. But though Carl Morano may be watching the proceedings from above, he is not there. He, too, has been raised up, and will be doing better than ever, forevermore.

Carl was a fellow trial lawyer at Superior Court and wonderful guy. When he didn't like a Judge's ruling, he appealed it, usually with success. He fought in the battle of the bulge during WWII. A supply truck driver, an officer noticed his strong build and reassigned him to a heavy machine gun crew trying to stem the German breakout. Carl often spoke of his family who were his joy. He will be missed.
