Departed this life peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2013. Devoted wife to Samuel R. Saunders, Jr. Also survived by children, Earin, Ashley, and Julian; mother, Cora E. Canty; grandmother Annie V. Matthews; one sister one brother; six godchildren; two great-nieces; one aunt; a host of brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Queen's Chapel United Methodist Church, 7410 Old Muirkirk Road, Beltsville, MD 20705 from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. One of God's most “Precious Angels” God sends certain people to touch our lives and you were certainly one of them. Someone who was like a magnet, that everyone just loved to be near and in your presence. You were that person who extended herself to so many people as a mother, god-mother, sister, aunt and friend. You were truly a God's sent!

To my Dear Friend, Dawny Bear, Words can not express how heart broken i've felt since you left, but i know you've finally received your wings and that you are still watching over us.
