James was a great guy! I enjoyed playing baseball with him and while I marveled at his baseball skill I was more impressed with what a wonderful person he was. He was the best kind of human being...gentle, soft spoken, modest, friendly, caring, giving, and I know loving to his friends and family. It was an honor to know him and I am sorry he is gone. He will be sorely missed by us all.

Please except my condolences in the lost of a great person in James Timbers. I openned the Loudoun sports page and was shock to see James's picture and reading that he had passed. I first met James at George Mason University were he played baseball. I worked for the athletic department and saw James all four years he played for GMU. I saw him wearing his Loudoun Valley athletic wear, then ask did you go to valley he said yes. I said I went to Park View in sterling. We kind of grew a bond together since we both were from the same county. We knew some of the same athletes and coaches from at that time the four local school in the county. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Timbers family. ( Todd Turner - Purcellville, VA)

Timber's Family, Found out about James on Sunday and I am deeply saddened by James death and your loss. James playing on the Leeburg Brewers was special to all of the players. It wasn't just his ability to excel at baseball, it was his attitude, sportsmanship, friendship and the love of the game that lifted and inspired all of us. We will miss him and the vacumn left in our hearts by his passing will be filled by the memories he left us. Our prayers goes out to James and family.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Timbers family, and may God bless you during this time of sorrow. I remember James playing Baseball for Loudoun Valley and then taking his God given talents to GMU to play Center Field. As great as he was between the lines, he was an even better friend and teacher to the children of Loudoun. God Bless you all!
