JOSEPH M. STEC  
JOSEPH M. STEC, 86, of Arlington, Virginia, died peacefully Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Virginia Hospital Center, Arlington, VA surrounded by his family. For the last 10 years in Arlington, Joe was actively involved in the Jefferson community, writing for the newspaper, running for the Poker Club and organizing various outings to local sporting events. However, during his last year, he had the greatest comfort in his great-grandchildren, Andrew and Savannah and his long-time personal aide, Mac Traore. Son of the late Blazej and Hedwig Sidor Stec. Beloved husband of the late Josephine Symcak Stec, his wife of 53 years. Brother of the late Bill Stec, Mary Sadovsky and Helen Mathews. He is survived by his children: Joe Stec of Horsham, Pennsylvania; David Stec of Eunice, Louisiana; Carol Stec-Champine and husband Daryl Champine of Seattle, Washington; and Barbara Stec and her companion Ted Vitale of McLean, VA; two grandsons: Christopher and wife Claudette Stec and Andrew Stec; two great-grandchildren: Andrew and Savannah. The funeral will be held Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. at WINOWICZ FUNERAL HOME, 308 Adeline Street, Trenton, NJ. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Parish, Church of the Holy Cross. Interment will be at a future date in Arlington National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are to be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 3701 Pender Drive, Suite 400, Fairfax, VA 22030.
