JULIA B. SLEDGE
Quietly on Sunday, March 24, 2013; devoted wife of William E. Sledge; beloved mother of Sidney Arrington, Sharon Walker, and Carolyn McKinney. Also surviving are one brother Clinton Jones (Louise); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Friends may call on Tuesday, April 2, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Baptist Church, 900 Delaware Ave., S.W. Rev. Dr. J. Michael Little, Pastor. Interment Gaston, NC. Arrangements by Tyrone J. Young Funeral Service.

Dear Family and Friends,
My funny buddy has finished her race. I love Sis. Julia and her wonderful sense of humor. I will miss her fussing at my husband, Bill, about not singing enough. I will always remember the joy we shared together at Friendship and her support for the Wives of the Men's Ministry.
Brother Sledge, be encouraged and remember that you are not alone. We will keep you and your family in our prayers for God's continued peace and love. He abides with you now and always.
