PAUL ELBRIDGE WRIGHT  
Paul passed away peacefully and in the company of family on June 4, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 24, 1931 to Clifton and Mattie Louise Wright.He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict achieving the rank of Staff Sargent. Upon his honorable discharge, he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University where he finished at the top of his engineering class. He then earned his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Years later, as his successes in engineering and his leadership skills propelled him into roles of increasing responsibility, his employer, RCA, funded his attending Harvard's elite Advanced Management Program. Paul's career in the Aerospace and Defense industry had multiple highlights which included authoring numerous patents, attaining senior management positions in and successfully managing several businesses, including: RCA Corporation, General Electric, Fairchild Industries and Chrysler Technologies Corporation.Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Virginia Ann (Peterson) Wright; his four children, Neil Wright, Sue Potter, Warren Wright and Anne Thrush; his nine grandchildren; his three great grandchildren; and his sister Naomi Landorf. There will be a memorial service at Fourth Presbyterian Church, 5500 River Road, Bethesda, MD 20816 at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 9, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in the name of Paul Wright to Achievement Rewards for College Scientists/ Metropolitan Washington Chapter 10221 River Road, P.O. Box 60686, Potomac, MD 20859-0868.
