I have many fond memories of Shirley. She was an incredible woman and Christian role model to those privileged to have known her. I grew up attending the First Baptist Church in Rockville and what I learned there from people like Shirley, her son Rev. Jack Marcom is the foundation of who I am today.
My deepest condolences go out to her family. You are all in my prayers during this difficult time.

Shirley was an incredibly special person to me. We knew each other at the First Baptist Church of Rockville back in the mid 1980s to 1990s. She touched those around her with her pragmatic outlook, good humor, and caring. I admired her and wanted to be her when I grew up.
I hope you find God's peace and comfort during this time. Shirley is with her Lord and God.
