Tyrone was an energetic guy. I lived on the next street Clovis avenue in Coral Hills. We played basketball together. He had nice sister named Brenda. She was friends with my sister Beverlye.

Very shocked and sad to hear of this 2 weeks later. "The Smurf" was a jam I first heard in November 1982 during my first year of College. It got a lot of Radio Play in New York, and it was still something I grooved to over the past 30+ years. Rest in Peace Mr. Brunson, you will not be forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to Tyrone's Family, Friends and Loved ones!
