STEELE ROBERT LEE STEELE Lt. Colonel, U.S. Army (Ret.) Died peacefully on February 22, 2010 in his home in Arlington, VA. He was a 1946 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He is survived by his devoted children, Amanda Steele of Chapel Hill, NC, Newell B. Steele (Anne) of FMB, FL, Marilee Steele of Arlington, VA and Robin Steele (Michael Ruback) of Chicago, IL; grandson, Timothy Steele Johnson of Chapel Hill, NC; and older brother, Lt. Colonel Gordon Hall Steele (Marion), U.S. Army (Ret.) of Suffolk, England. A private ceremony and interment will take place at the West Point Cemetery in the late spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Superintendent''s Fund of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
