Joseph Dickman Obituary
DICKMAN MAJ. GEN. JOSEPH L. DICKMAN, USAF (Ret.) Major General Joseph L. Dickman, USAF (Ret.) passed away on March 20, 2010 at INOVA Loudoun Hospital. He is predeceased by his wife, Helen Taylor Dickman, who died in 1996. He is survived by his wife, Alice Dickman of The Air Force Retirement Community at Falcon''s Landing in Sterling; two sons from his first marriage, Joseph T. Dickman (Judy) of Fairfax Station, VA and John F. Dickman (Celeste) of Kingstowne, VA; four grandchildren, Sean Dickman (Jennifer), Christina Dickman, Michelle Adler and Jill Taylor (Will); eight great-grandchildren; and three step-children, Heather Steinbeck, Erich Steinbeck and Peter Steinbeck. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 26, 2010 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Everly Funeral Home, 10565 Main St., Fairfax, VA 22030, where a funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. An additional funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Fort Myer Chapel. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Benevolent Fund of Falcon''s Landing. www.everlyfuneralhomes.com
