LUEDERS DIRK LUEDERS Dirk Henry Lueders, COL. US ARMY (Ret.), age 75, died on June 25, 2010 at his home in Gainesville, Virginia surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 14, 1934 in St. Paul, Minnesota to the late Arthur and Hertha (Finke) Lueders. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Ann Rockwell Lueders of Gainesville, VA; four children, Mary Fuchs and husband, Jeffrey of Fairfax Station, VA, Donald Lueders and wife, Kathleen of South Riding, VA, Jeanne Zito and husband, Steven of Glenelg, MD and Dirk Lueders, II and wife, Erin of Arnold, MD; his twin brother, Arthur Lueders of Daytona Beach, FL; his sister-in-law, Mary Monahan of Falls Church, VA; 12 grandchildren: Jeffrey, Jimmy, Katie, Annie, Madeline, Emily, Grace, Mitchell, Hannah, Jackson, Ashley and Heidi. Also surviving are numerous dear nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on October 19, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on October 20, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, VA. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to: Holy Trinity Catholic Church, toward the purchase of a stained glass window in memory of COL Dirk Henry Lueders, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, VA 20155.
