GAZELDA RENEÉ WILLIAMS
On Thursday, December 23, 2010; beloved daughter of Paula and the late Clayton Herring; loving mother of Tiera M. Herring, Alexis D. Williams and Thomas L. Williams, Jr.; sister of Kendrick C. Herring, Sr. (Trashaun); goddaughter of Elder Dr. F.D. and Minister Bobbie Shumate. Also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Deanwood, 1008 45th Street, NE, Washington, DC on Monday, January 3 from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by CEDAR HILL FUNERAL HOME, INC.

I BEAT BREAST CANCER Sis! I fought and I WON!!!! I could hear you singing, "I Won´t Complain!" Girl...... Nobody does it like you! You were not just a #dcfl sister but you were a friend! My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Nae was the sweetest person from the time we "met" online I called her friend. Though I gave her a hard time many a day about her team, it was all in love.
I cherish the one time I got to see her perform and will cherish the private conversations we had and I'm happy our circle of friends was able to get together in the name of Nae.

Renee, I was blessed to spend time with you during our workday for many years. When I needed a laugh or either of us had a funny story to share, we happened to find each other just when we needed it. I'm missing your smile, your laugh, and your spirit tremendously.

I was shocked and saddened to hear today of Ms. William's death. I have had the privilege of being her 3 children's pediatrician for 20 years. I always looked forward to seeing her and her kids. She was such an amazing mother, and she lit up the room with her smile. I miss her already.

X-Factor led us off with "Gone too Soon", then your cousins brought down the house in only a way YOU would have done.Though my heart is heavy, we had church in your honor and i am happy and proud we did. My heart goes out to Renee's family, especially her kids. The world just became a bit more darker and colder. Renee was like a big sister to me. She was my sister to listen to country music with, and she nicknamed my grandmother (Mary Williams) "Blue: because of the tint in her hair. I will miss her dearly.

My heart goes out to her family, especially her children. The world just became a bit more colder, and darker. Her smile, her wit, and her humor could light up a room. Renee was like a big sister to me. I found a sister who liked listening to country music just like me. She used to call my grandmother (Mary Williams) "Blue" because of the tint in her gray hair. She will be missed dearly.

I remember listening and watching Renee sing at my Second Annual Red, White and Black Summer Gala in July. She was an awesome singer and performer. I will never forget her face. She always had a smile on it.
